The only thing I might add to this, some rigs depend on the voltage
drop of the original bulbs. They were engineered this way. You could
always add a resistor to rebalance the filament string is necessary,
of course.

Use "Giant" LED's. as substitutes. They run cooler, & have a longer
MTBF. They've long been used in broadcasting. Advances now allow them
in beacon & marker lights.
R&R the TR 7 VFO light can present a challenge. Contact major vendors
or your fiendly "engineer" for assistance. I'd never go back to
