First of all, your ignorance is showing. Channel 2 and 6 meters are not 
synonymous. In addition, I suspect that hams endure far more interference 
from TV signals than they create. In any case, 'lying low' is not exactly 
your forte!

I have what I think is a better question: Why would anyone want 1500 watts 
(or more) on HF when you can work the world with a 100?

I submit that 1000 watts on VHF, or UHF, is considerably more reasonable, and 
necessary, than it is on the lower bands.

FYI, I have no kilowatts on any band.
