Harbach Electronics http://www.harbachelectronics.com makes a "soft key"
interface kit for the L4B for keying it with solid state transceivers. The
little module mounts inside the L4B and comes with a good instruction sheet.
It works great with my Icom 756 and the L4B.

Hope this helps.

Subject:	[Drake] keying L4B

My Icom 781 can sink 100V AC at .5 amps. The K1 TR relay in the L4B is
about 100V DC but does not say what current it sinks. I do not want to
exceed the .5 current rating of the internal Icom contacts in PTT line.
Older linears with 100v relays can draw up to .750 or even 1 amp. Please
advise if the newer rigs can key the L4B or L7 for that matter without using
an interconnecting relay system. Hate to rig up a 12V relay externally to
key the L4B if unnecessary. Thanks, San K5YY
