[Drake] TR-3 Pre-mix Problem

Dear Drake List,
I have a TR-3 that I have done some major restoration on (won't go into what
I have done since the list would be too long). After re-assembly and
alignment, I can receive very well on 80, 40, 20, and 15, with no noticeable
frequency drift. I get good signal and audio reports also on these bands,
and can get 70-100 watts on each (no neutralization done yet). But here's
my problem:
On 10 meters, the receive signals are very garbled on all 3 bands, but
intelligble. The frequency drifts quite a bit on receive, even when warmed
up. I tried a couple of QSO's on the lower 10 meter band with Japan, and
got 59 reports, but no audio report. When I put my hand close to the 6EA8
premix osc. tube, the receive frequency shifts drastically. The same
hand-capacitance problem occurs if I touch/wiggle any of the premix coupling
transformers or tuning slugs with a plastic probe. This happens on all
three 10 meter bands, so I assume the premix crystals are good. All the
resistance measurements on V1, V2, and V3 are essentially right-on.
Any advice on how to go about trouble shooting/fixing my 10 meter problems
would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps someone has had the same problem with
their Drake tube transceivers???
Thanks and 73,
Mark
