[Drake] Restoration

Interesting opinions Bill but, or course, only opinions.  That's one of the 
things that makes this Amateur Radio hobby so interesting.  We can all enjoy 
the activities in our own way as a "hobby."

I have Drake and Collins gear in excellent condition that is close enough to 
original to call "restored."  I have Drake and Collins gear I have updated 
with modern components such as caps.  And I have Drake and Collins gear I 
chose to significantly modify, usually for improved cw performance.  In all 
cases, the way I chose to handle the equipment was exactly right for me and 
my hobby interests.

Restore, modify, repair, leave original........whatever.  It's a hobby and 
we'll all tinker as we will.
