(see below separator for Drake related content)
He "knows" it has nothing to do with "Drake",
but doesn't really give a Rats ***...
I agree Jim... This has been common occurance in the
Hallicrafters list, but then DBF is the owner there
so there's not much that can be done about it, sadly. :(
In that list... This type of 'stuff' is endless, and
it looks like he's come here to further his sense of
self-importance and subject MORE (as many of us in the
Hallicrafter list simply trash his tripe as it arrives)
netizens to his self-proclaimed rapier wit(t).
It sounds much like something that would come out of the
mind of a 'Children Book Authors' mind, what with all the
Frog' and 'adventure place' references... Not that these
people are not needed, but AMATEUR RADIO and SHORTWAVE BA
lists are NOT the place to ply it!!! The only other type
I can think of that might talk like this would be a pedo-
phile trying to entice children (SICK!)... And I'm sure
(well... maybe) that Duane is not one of them...
Might I suggest that you (and any others that have grown
tired of these inane posts from Duane), add his email addy
to your 'twit' filter ? I guess I'm going to be modifying
the filter HERE to nuke his addy if found on the 'To:'
header line as well... So I won't be seeing ANY more of
these posts, even if posted 'From:' someone else, and if
I *HAVE* to will add the filter to act on the body of the
message as well, so anything of his being quoted will be
dropped in the bit-bucket...
That's all I have to say on the topic. Back to Drake <quack!>
-=- -=- -=-
With the arrival of a working o-scope (Heathkit IO-4560)
from a fellow local Amateur, about all I lack is the proper
probe to make the connection. Does anyone here have such
that they have found to work well with the R4/T4/T4X set,
that they could part with ? Input connector(s) on the
scope is/are Banana Tip Jacks.
Also have a Boonton 91CA (RF VTVM) but need probe for that.
(range on the Boon' is 0-3v and 70-0 dB)
I know I could build my own from the data in the handbook,
but I'd rather find one that has a proven service, and is
known to be accurate. For the Boon' - I'd _like_ to find
an OEM unit, if someone has one in their BA collection.
Would REALLY like to get my 'quackers' back on the air agn :)
Thanks -n- 73,
Bruce
