There is a complete service manual for the UV-3 (which I have).
Unfortunately, it is an EXTREMELY complicated unit which is wired
together like spaghetti, especially if you have all 3 modules. I have
repaired two of these things and believe me, they are ROUGH. If you
have any specific questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Subject: [Drake] RE: UV3
Greetings, Drake-o-philes.
Does anyone out there have any experience with the UV-3? I acquired one
at a swap meet yesterday with all 3 modules, the remote mounting kit
(unfortunately, without the speaker and mounting brackets) and a
microphone (not the 1525 EM version). I intend to return it to operation
as part of my Drake "shelf" using the remote kit.
Did Drake ever issue a schematic for this unit. After 50 years of
working on gear I could "wing it", but prefer schematics. The manual has
a block diagram and very little "Theory of Operation" information.
Also, does anyone have an MS-3, Model 1510 speaker available?
Thanks.
Dave, W5WP
