[Drake] TR7 Speech Processor

To my knowledge Drake never offered an internal speech processor for the
TR7, nor is it in my service manual or sales liturature.
A periodical offered a generic speech processor project. I built and used
that processor with the TR7. It did not substanitially increase readability
or provide "punch." The TR 7 provided execellent audio when using a
microphone of corrent impedance and frequency response.
Try a different microphone. The Shure 444 is an aftermarket microphone
tailored to SSB applications. It can be wired for low or high impedance. 73,

Subject: [Drake] TR7 Speech Processor
Hello,
Does anyone have any information on an INTERNAL speech processor for the
TR7? I am trying to determine if Drake or an outside firm ever made an
internal unit because I have seen a radio advertised with one and have never
heard of it. I am only familiar with the EXTERNAL SP75.
Any help is appreciated.
John
