Harvey Wells TBS-50 D, Transmitter: The Harvey Wells TBS-50 D "Bandmaster Deluxe" comes under the category of "Boatanchor" or "Vintage" transmitter. It is an 80 thru 2 meter AM and CW transmitter that was produced in the late 1940's. The TBS-50 was a really versatile rig in its day. Not many rigs covered from 80 thru 2 meters. This one has been on a shelf for many years. It definitely will need to have things like electrolytic caps replaced, etc. Plan on restoration! Cosmetically it is not bad for its age, but is not perfect. Fortunately I DO have paper work for it. Buy it for only $50. . . Hewlett Packard HP 400 AC Voltmeter: The HP-400 series is the standard for good lab quality voltmeters with a wide frequency response (20 Hz to 4 MHz). These meters have an amplified output terminal that can be used as a preamp for a digital scope, a chart recorder, etc. The HP 400 meters are all RMS reading AC voltmeters with a large mirrored meter. HP 400 E This unit has ranges from 1 mv to 300 volts full scale (-60 to +50 dbm), with a linear mirrored scale. This one works fine, has a calibration sticker on it, with paper work for $75. . . RCA WA-44 B Audio Signal Generator: This signal generator produces sine waves from 20 Hz to 200 KHz. More details at http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/rca_audio_generator_wa_44c.html This one produces a nice sine wave and looks fine. With manual for $40. . . RCA WR-70 A Marker / Adder: For more details, please see http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/rca_rfifvf_marker_adder_wr_70.html This one works fine and looks great also. Please make a reasonable offer. . . RCA SB-611 Broadband Sweep Generator Works fine, and looks fine. Please make a reasonable offer. . . Open Frame "Variacs" Although we call these "Variacs" that is really a trade name. They are variable autotransformers, usually used to control 120 V AC and output from zero to 130 V AC. Often they are used to slowly bring up the voltage, or to control plate or filament voltages in an amplifier. Both of these are open frame type, designed to be mounted behind a panel. Ohmite VT-2 Rated 60 to 400 Hz, at 1.75 amps maximum, 0 to 132 V AC output. This one is still in its original box, unused. $45. Superior Electric PowerStat Type 10 B Rated at 50 to 60 Hz, 2.25 Amps Maximum, 0 to 132 V AC output. This one apparently has been used, as it has solder on its terminals; it functions 100%. $30. . . Large Isolation Transformer: - This isolation transformer is large. It is 8 x 6 3/4 x 6 1/2, and has four input terminals with taps 5% from each end. The output is center tapped, for a total of 7 taps. It probably can be used to convert from 120 V to 240 V, or vice versa. - Pickup near Ocala FL would be best, but it could be shipped. $95 . . Large sensitive meter: Large Simpson DC Microammeter This is a very large 7 inch meter. It is a 500 - 0 - 500 microammeter, still in its original box. It has its shorting wire on it, and the hardware has never been opened. If you need a quality microammeter with zero center that you can read at a distance, this is the meter. Only $40. . . Turner 350 C, Hi Impedance Hand Microphone: If you use vintage boatanchor rigs, you probably know what a Turner 350 C microphone is. It is a high impedance hand microphone that can be used on most any equipment that requires a Hi Z mic. It has a dark green case. I think Heath sold the same mic with their label on it. It has a PTT switch. This one has a nice pattern on the scope. The coiled cord is in good shape. Only $30. . . Single Pin Microphone Connectors: These single pin mic connectors were used years ago, on vintage equipment, as a microphone connector, and also as a connector on test equipment such as VTVMs and Signal Generators. They are often referred to as single pin Amphenol connectors, although the ones I have are made by Switchcraft. I found five that are NEW, unused, never soldered to. $10. Buy all five for $45. . . Atlas DS-5 Microphone Stand: The Atlas DS-5 is a 5-inch fixed height desktop microphone stand with black ebony finish. The black 5 inch diameter heavy (about 3 pound) base stays in place, with a chrome 5 inch high tube extending from it. Features: Fixed-height stand (5") Traditional, circular cast iron base Chrome-plated tubing For application with any standard microphone Finished in ebony epoxy This one is new, still in its original box, with original paper work. $15 . . M C Jones "Micro Match" MM-1: The "Micro Match" is one of the very, very early SWR bridges, made by M C Jones Electronics of Bristol, Conn. I would guess the 1940's or 50's vintage. The MM-1 is related to the more common Model 261, 262, and 263 units. Paper work from them is included. This unit has both SO-239 and BNC connectors on each side, in parallel, so that either can be used. $20 . . Interesting Vintage Books: White's Radio Log for Spring 1948 Interesting info on Short Wave, TV, and FM stations including Canada and Mexico. Stations listed by both call sign and frequency. $5 5 Meter Radiotelephony by Frank Jones 1934 Copyright date with a forward by Bill Orr, W6SAI Obviously, the fact that is is 5 meters shows the age of the book. Equally obvious is that it is all tubes. Surprisingly, the condition of it is really great. It really looks close to new, with no wear or deterioration. $15 The Fun of Ham Radio - 1965 Editors & Engineers - Skillfact Library $5 Ameco "Question and Answer License Guide" 1956 - apparently First Edition answers circled but in extremely nice condition. Cover looks new. $7 A R R L Handbooks: - 1979 - 56th edition Paperback. Excellent condition. $15 - 1988 - 65th edition Hard back. Several inches thick. Close to new condition. $20 ARRL Tune in the World with Amateur Radio, $3 . . Alliance U-100 Antenna Rotor Control Box: The Alliance U-100 is typically used in VHF antennas and is often used as an elevation rotor for satellite antennas. It is a lighter duty rotor compared to a Ham-M, Ham IV, or Tailtwister. This is the control box for the rotor. No actual rotor is available. Although it is labeled for a U-100, it will also work with a U-110. It is a four wire control. This one is in good cosmetic condition, and lights up fine. The only thing that ever goes wrong in these is the motor start capacitor. The cap in this one tests fine, and looks like it has been replaced, being it is the new style capacitor. Paper work included for $40. . . I also have many other accessories available such as many different types of microphones, HTs, VHF and UHF rigs, HF and VHF/UHF antennas, connectors, miscellaneous accessories, etc. Just too many to list here. Please e-mail your requests. . Prices do not include shipping from Florida. Thanks. 73, Ken, W8EK Ken Simpson E-mail to W8EK at FLHam.net or W8EK at arrl.net Voice Phone (352) 732-8400 .
