The Mid-Atlantic Antique Radio Club (MAARC) is hosting their annual
"RADIOACTIVITY" event from Thursday June 25th through Saturday June 27th
at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Timonium, MD. 21093. 

The event includes 3 auctions:

- Thursday evening offering vacuum tubes & antique radio
literature/ephemera
at 7:30 PM

- A walk-around outdoor auction for classic radio "Junque" on Saturday
at
8:30 AM

- the Main auction on Saturday starting at noon for antique &
collectable
radios and related gear 

 

There is also an extensive outdoor flea market on Friday starting at
6:00
AM. 

 

Just added to the Main Saturday Auction is the estate collection of
Robert
"Skip" Reynolds of Bear, Delaware. This collection consists primarily of
fine mid-century plastic radios in nice condition. Also some European
sets,
a 1980s vintage Bang & Olafson stereo in original boxes, and some
miscellaneous items.

 

I picked up a restorable Hallicrafters S-40a at last years
"RADIOACTIVITY",
and got an ARC-4 transceiver and an ARC-5 R-27 receiver at recent MAARC
events.
