Thank you very much for the tip on the MAARC meet.
No wonder you miss them.

It was a nice time.  We had very clear crisp weather Sunday
morning.   It was smaller than a typical hamfest, but everything on
display was related to the topic.  No stuffed animals or dead PC's. 
In
addition to the vintage collector radios there was quite a bit of ham
equipment.

I came home with a Stancor PC-8414 power transformer, NOS,
for only $2.     I got two HP digital (all tube) frequency counters
and an HP 608 VHF generator.

While straightening out the mess in the back of the car to make room,
I asked the man selling the 608E if it was very heavy.  He replied
"You will not be disappointed."  :-)

I didn't bother to stay for the auction.  I try to limit the cubic
volume of stuff I bring home every weekend.   Had a nice time and am
looking forward to next month.
