B&K E-200D RF signal generator: 100kHz-54MHz in five fundamental bands,
32MHz-216MHz in two harmonic bands. Metered output, 20 dB step attenuator,
100kHz/1MHz calibrator (speaker for zerobeating), good manual copy, RF
output on all bands, 400Hz switchable modulation, clean manual copy, nice
internal shielding. Definite step up from most service-grade gennys if
hardly in the Boonton/H-P class. Appearance: VG: a couple of small scrapes
and a hairline crack in the meter cover. Will include test lead with clips
at one end and Amphenol mike connector at the other. I paid $125 plus
shipping. I'll take $90 plus shipping. High-res jpegs available.
Systron-Donner 6150A freq counter: 0-50MHz DC-coupled, 50Hz-50MHz
AC-coupled. A, B, C inputs. 8-digit display. I bought it because I like
Nixie-type displays. I still do, but I've fed my jones for the foreseeable
future and am ready to pass the counter on to another Nixie lover. No bad
digits or segments. Appearance: VG. Original manual, not a copyit cost me
$40 separately. High-res jpeg images available. $25 plus shipping for the
counter minus manual, $45 for both.
Hickok DMS 3200 mainframe with DP150 1MHz frequency counter/timer plug-in.
From mid-70s. Advertised in Radio-Electronics and other service-oriented
publications as a benchtop display Hickok called it a mainframe) and a
plug-ins, sold separately, to provide a voltmeter, L-C analyzer, frequency
counter, and other tools. Mine came with the freq counter. Three big,
bright digits. As with the Systron-Donner, I bought it solely because of
the display. No bad digits or segments. Appearance is very good. No manual
but controls look intuitive. High-res jpeg images available. $25 plus shipping.
Drake 1-A receiver: The exterior is a solid 9-9.5: a few hairline scratches
on top of the cabinet, otherwise nothing but the most minor imperfections.
The chassis copper is oxidized somewhat more than moderately but not as
much as Ive seen on some Drakes. The underside of the chassis looks fine,
with no signs of overheating or leakage. Speaker cone is intact. The tubes
light up, the calibrator works, there's lots of volume (no hum), the
vaunted 1-A tuning is silky, and it seems to receiveseems because there's
too much crashing for me to tell very well what's going on. I was able to
tune in stations on 80 and 40, but the crashes masked almost everything. If
I kept it, Id dose it with DeoxIt or other contact cleaner on the switches,
pots, tube sockets, capacitor bearings, etc. Serial no. worn offcant read
it. Original manual. High-res jpg photos are available. $450 plus shipping.
Drake 2-B receiver: thoroughly restored this summer by an expert--Black
Beauties and all other questionable caps and out-of-tolerance resistors
were replaced, mechanical problems fixed, total recalibration done, etc.
Condition is unusually goodVG plus or better. Front has no visible flaws,
top has light scratches. Chassis is very lightly oxidized, much less than
is typical. Crystalled for three 10M segments. Serial no. 6361. No
calibrator, speaker, or manual. The restorer will verify that I paid $350.
Will take $250 plus shipping.
Globe 90 transmitter: good to very good cosmetics, unknown operating
status--I got it a few years ago at a hamfest and never powered it up. Good
AC cord. It has been modified to take plate modulation (modulator is not
included), with all modification steps documented. Part of the modification
involved adding a switch to short the secondary of the modulation
transformer. This was done, neatly, on the front panel. In addition, the
existing on-off switch was changed from a slide switch to a toggle switch,
and there is another toggle switch installed next to it. Its function is
unknown. These two switches also were neatly installed. Finally, an N
connector was added to the rear chassis apron. Why it isn't a plain SO-239
escapes me. Original manual. Whoever modified the rig obviously used it
with a Globe UM-1 plate modulator--there are three foldout pictorials of
that modulator along with the transmitter manual. $85 plus shipping.
Optoelectronics model 3000 handheld frequency counter, near-new condition.
Range is 10Hz to 2.4GHz, 10-digit LCD readout plus 16-segment RF signal
strength bar graph. Separate high- and low-impedance BNC inputs. Also
measures period, ratio of A/B inputs, time interval, and average.
Rechargeable nicads. The wall wart vanished, but theres nothing unusual
about it: 12VDC @ 300-500mA, center positive plug. With soft pouch and
original manual. Ill throw in a telescoping whip with BNC connector. $90
plus shipping.
