Forwarded from: Southeastern AM Radio Club reflector:

You may have seen that the Federal Communications Commission has opened
its comment filing system to a petition asking for mandatory bandwidth
constraints on HF phone activity.

The petitioners themselves acknowledge that AM has not caused the kinds of
interference forming the basis of their complaint. Additionally, the FCC's
Riley Hollingsworth has publicly expressed support for the AM community
and said that our group is "absolutely" no problem when it comes to
enforcement and complaints.

Please consider taking some time to read up on the matter and file
comments in OPPOSITION to this petition.

A summary, and a link to the original document, is at the URL:
(click on it, or copy the entire telemetry through '38400')

A quick primer as to how to file comments is at:

Thank you for investing some effort to ward off an inappropriate and
misguided petition that would affect us.

Regards
