For pickup only, in Potomac, Md.

A boatanchor classic, this RF generator weighs nearly 50 pounds and uses 20
tubes. It covers 50 kHz to 65 MHz in six bands, directly readable to 1
percent accuracy. Two internal crystal calibrators (100 kHz and 1 MHz)
provide checkpoints with 0.01 percent accuracy. Internal modulation at 400
Hz and 1 kHz at up to 90 percent. RF output continuously variable from 0.1
microvolt to 3 volts into 50 ohms. Negligible drift. Two large meters--one
reads modulation percentage, the other RF output.

I bought this a few years ago from Dee Alquist W4PNT, who does the
superdeluxe restorations on EFJ Rangers and Valiants and Hammarlund
receivers. Dee made one modification--he wired in a shielded cable
preceding the attenuator for direct pickoff. A front-panel BNC remains in
place for output through the attenuator.

An excellent manual copy is included, in a looseleaf binder with each page
in its own sleeve.

It's a fine piece of equipment but I'm trying to reclaim a bit of space,
and the 606A is just too big and heavy. It works flawlessly and looks
pretty good.

The price is now $100, down another step from the original $125, and won't
go below that. Don't confuse this generator with a $50 hamfest special that
may or may not work and that you have to pay $$$ extra for a manual!
