[DCboatanchors] Wanted: 6BQ5's

This is slightly off topic, but didn't some low-power modulators use this 
tube...?

A guitar-playing friend has a single-end amp that goes through 6BQ5's every 
few hours. I've promised to take a look to see if a leaky or shorted cap or 
something is making the tubes unhappy. Regardless, he needs a bunch of 
standby replacements for his professional gigs.

So I volunteered to find a few. How much could they cost, I figured--$1.50? 
Two bucks tops?

Little did I know. The lowest price I found was $5.95 for Russian-brand 
tubes. $19 was more typical.

Hence my query: anybody got a stash, either NOS or used/good, that they're 
willing to sell? Or the 7189 equivalent? I'd give him my stash, but it's 
only two tubes.
