THIS IS A QST FROM TOM TAORMINA, K5RC -   
 
May 1st is the next running of the 7QP. The effort is made each year to activate all counties in the 7th district for this event.  
 
The contest runs 6AM to Midnight on Saturday. Yes, it is the same day as EMCOMM but we manage to do both each year. 
 
The Comstock Memorial Station, W7RN, will activate Storey County with 
one station on SSB and another on CW for the entire contest period. 
 
We invite drop-ins to visit during the contest period and to operate. 
This is a great training opportunity for new and would-be contesters. 
Please send me an email if you would like to come by.  
 
Otherwise, please get on HF and activate your county for an hour or whatever time you can spare. The complete rules are at

One more thing. The last few years, we have not activated the rare rural counties in NV. We would love have a great turnout of mobile or portable county expeditions, and/or to get in touch with anyone you know who lives in one of the 14 rural counties to get on the air on May 1.
