The 2009 North Nevada Rally will be based out of Fernley, NV, near Reno. The
event will be run in an area northeast of Reno, near Gerlach, NV. It will cover roughly eighty-two miles of road in the northern Selenite Range. The course will be broken into four loops of two stages, each about 10 miles through mountain twisties and open plain. Both the northern and southern stages will be
run in each direction.
Some of the tasks you may be asked as a HAM operator are:

Road Marshall
Road Marshalls are placed along the course guarding an intersection. Their
primary purpose is to prevent unauthorized traffic from entering the course, but
in doing so they get the best seat in the house! No experience is necessary,
but a ham license is a plus.

Sweep
Sweeps follow the action and assist disabled cars. This is ideal for
truck-owners, as sweep vehicles should be capable of handling towing and/or
extraction of stuck vehicles. No experience is necessary, but a ham license is
a plus.
