Subject: NW Dist. ARES Net

Hey Guys, thought I'd better put this out that our weekly Northwest District
ARES/RACES Net is on Tuesday nights at 8pm. We have been holding it on the
WADG linked system (147.150 Mt. Rose and 147.030 Virginia Peak), but due to
a dead link between the two, it had to be moved. The net will now be heard
on 147.180+ (no PL) located on Virginia Peak which has very good coverage as
we've found to most of the district. Please let your troops know of this
change. I don't know if this will be permanant or not, but for now, thats
where we'll be. We could also use some backup and alternate Net Control
ops, which would be great to hear someone other than myself call the net.
It's also a great way to get to know the other players around the district.

Also, if you have Echolink or can access IRLP, we hold a weekly "NV
Section ARES/RACES VoIP Net" statewide. It can be found on the Western
Reflector Channel 8 (node 9258) which is our statewide Intercom linking most
of the state full time. In Reno/Sparks local area it is on 441.650+ PL.
123.0 which has good LOCAL coverage but not much outside the area ... yet.
It is due to go to a higher level site later this spring which will have
good access to everyone (we think). If you have Echolink via computer, you
can go to NV-gate #152566 and join us that way.
Thats it for now. Thanks for all you do, and I hope to hear you on the
net soon. 73 --Don
