[DCART] Meeting

Last nights meeting was well attended, with 19 of us at Nevada DEM.  Sincere thanks to Otto (KV7J) for a very comprehensive and complete tour.  The education about our preparedness was also appreciated.  And thanks to Phyllis (KD7OKI) and Will (KD7NIR) for the coffee and great treats.

Last Saturday saw us involved in the statewide SET, with DCART operating at Carson/Tahoe Hospital.  Checking in at 0700 and running through the program until released at noon, DCART owes a vote of thanks to Herb (AA7MR) and Daryl (KE7HXD) for manning the radios and moving traffic in a most professional manner.  They followed learned procedures, using ICS forms.  These two made all of us look really good.

As usual, next Mondays net (10-22) will initiate at 1830 on 147.27 or 441.250.

My tenure as Douglas County ARES EC comes to completion at the end of this month.  I have really enjoyed the opportunity to work with all of you, strengthening existing friendships, developing new ones and watching us team together to serve the communications needs of our community.  Thank you for the opportunity.
