This Monday, the 21st. Firestation #2 (1225 Douglas Avenue) in Gardnerville. Time is 1830.
Important!
We'll be taking pictures for the updated DCART badges. Please be there. The simple process is getting the picture and DCART will do the rest. No lengthy time constraints and no signatures.
Don Carlson (KQ6FM) ARES/RACES SEC will be with us to update activities and give us all the good stuff that's going on with Emergency Communications. Let the others get it second hand - you hear it first on Monday.
Assignments for Magiko and the June 23 Air Show at MEV. Great exposure for Amateur Radio in the Carson Valley. The show goes on....and you're a part of it. Practice your communications skills. This is an official DCART exercise.
"Americas Most Beautiful Bike Ride" on June 3 offers another opportunity to hone your communications skills. Sign on for the excitement - this'll be the last opportunity.
The world famed "Death Ride" brings yet another fun opportunity to practice coordinating communications capabilities. This July 14th Bike Ride is 125 miles and 15,000 feet of pure bikers joy (agony?). As a DCART member you get a prime location (cool crisp air of the Sierras) to enjoy the action and show off your communication skills.
Oh, yes, we'll also discuss your Go Kit and the list of phone numbers (police, fire, etc) you should consider having on your person. Ah, the mundane.
Lots happening this Monday. Don't let the time slip away, Mildred.
