[DCART] An exercise

TARA (Tahoe Amateur Radio Association) has an arrangement with "Bike the 
West" to provide radio communications for a bike ride around Lake Tahoe. 
It's called 'Americas Most Beautiful Bike Ride' and involves 3000 bikers 
from all over the land.  Because of the Sierra Nevada's, communication is 
iffy at best - without amateur radio!  It's a 100 mile ride, including a 
jaunt up to Truckee and back.  Hill 'n dale, and lots of fun.

This year your DCART membership entitles you to join the group.  If you'd 
like a great day at the lake, doing what you do so well and participating in 
a great event, let me know.  We can make it work.

Probability is high that TARA will be using a portable repeater, which fits 
within a potential need and use of DCART.  At your end a HT will work, but a 
mobile might be better.  You'll be positioned with veterans of the race so 
you can participate in plenty of radio work while gaining great experience.

It's Sunday, June 3rd.  An all day event, starting and finishing at Horizon.
