[DCART] Reminder: General Upgrade Class in Carson Valley

Carson Valley radio clubs will be holding an upgrade class for Technician
licensees wanting to upgrade to General Class.

The free class will be held at the Sierra Front Dispatch Center Training
Room at 2311 Firebrand Road, Minden. This is at the Minden/Tahoe Airport,
half-way between Minden and Carson City. A map to the facility can be found
at http://www.cvrc.net/images/SierraFrontMap.gif.

The textbook will be the ARRL "General Class License Manual," 5th Edition.
The retail price of the textbook is seventeen dollars. It can be purchased
from various local dealers, directly from the ARRL by telephone at
1-888-277-5289 or through their online Publication Catalog at
http://www.arrl.org/catalog/?item=9205. A limited number of copies will
also be available for sale at the first class session.

The class will run for six Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. and
will be followed by a Friday evening VE examination. The class will begin
on Thursday, March 3rd and run until the final VE examinations on Friday,
April 8th.
