Monthly general membership meeting March 25, 2009 @ 7:00 PM in meeting
room #2 of the Wicomico Public Library.
We will be discussing club call signs, ARRL affiliation and hamfest
efforts among other items.

DE State Representatives addressing cell phone usage while driving.
"State Representative Miro regarding use of cellular phones while driving
introduced House Bill 40:
 Representative Chris Short has proposed to amend this legislation with
the
following:
AMEND House Bill No. 40 by inserting the following between lines 19 and
20:
"c. Use of an amateur radio in a radio-equipped vehicle by an
FCC-licensed
amateur radio operator in the time of a natural or man-made emergency."
 The proposed amendment would in effect prohibit the use of Amateur Radio
operation while mobile in the State of Delaware.
 I am asking that members contact their respective State Representative
and
express their view as to the proposed legislation and how it may affect
their
mobile radio operation. Thank you,

MARK YOUR CALENDAR:
The 2nd Annual Sussex County Hamfest will be held on Saturday April 4th
2009, 
at Sussex Tech High School, Georgetown DE. Tailgating begins at 6AM. Door
inside open at 7 AM.
 This will be also the date for the ARRL Delaware Section Convention. 

The DARC will have a table set up inside. We are collecting donated
amateur related equipment and material 
to sale during the hamfest to generate some funding for the repeater. 
Please contact a board member if you have something to donate.
