Please be advised that we have now confirmed that Admiral Robert Duncan,
U.S. Coast Guard, Retired, will attend the Hamfest event/exercise and
will
give a speech following Dr. Peter Hartsock's Keynote Address.

I spoke with Admiral Duncan today and he is very interested in our
Hamfest
and Emergency Communications. Admiral Duncan was responsible for the
evacuation of some 35K people in the Katrina Disaster.

Please also note that provisions have been made for tailgaters and other
vendors who are displaying outdoors can bring their saleable goods
inside,
considering the weather forecast is calling for rain. Tables will be
provided in the hallways and we will also provide assistance (students)
with
carts to carry those mentioned goods inside. On Friday at 4:00PM we will
make the decision whether to move all tailgaters/vendors inside.

Thank You,
Bill Prettyman/W3DR
Sussex Amateur Radio Association (President)
