[DARC] D.A.R.C. Membership and Dinner Meeting Nov. 16, 2005

To all members of the Delmarva Amateur Radio Club;


The semi annual dinner meeting will be held at Dayton's Restaurant (909 Snow
Hill Road, Salisbury, MD) on November 16th, (Wednesday) 2005 at 6:30 PM.  We
will be ordering form the menu.  This is an important meeting that will also
include the nomination and election of club officers for 2006.

It is urgent that we have the participation of as many club members as
possible at this dinner meeting.  We have had only an average of six board
members show for the board meetings and are running at a minimum to conduct
club business.  While we welcome and appreciate your support of the
repeater, we desperately need your personal involvement now more than ever.
Without a governing board there may not be a club to sponsor the repeater.
We need additional board members.  Presently the board meets the fourth
Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM in Fruitland, MD just off the Salisbury
RT. 13 bypass in the home office of N3PXT.  The meetings normally last less
than two hours.

Presently we have the repeater with the best coverage on the DelMarVa
peninsula.  We have been traditionally known as a "repeater" club supporting
the 146.22/82 repeater.  If you have any suggestions that may increase club
participation please pass those suggestions to the club officers or bring
them to the dinner meeting.  Lets do what we can to keep this club viable
and active.
