[DARC] D.A.R.C. November Dinner Meeting - Nov. 20th - 6:30 PM

To members and friends of the Delmarva Amateur Radio Club;

You are cordially invited  to the General Membership Dinner Meeting of
the Delmarva Amateur Radio Club on November 20th (3rd Wednesday of
November) 2002 at 6:30 PM.  The meeting will be held in the Skipjack Room
of Dayton's Restaurant (909 Snow Hill Road;  Salisbury, MD.) which is
across RT 12 from the Holly Center.  We will order from the menu.  We are
also again planning to have a display of old radios by John Allen
(W4GQT).

D.A.R.C. Membership applications for 2003 will be available at the dinner
for renewals and new memberships.  If you pay your dues ($20.00) at the
meeting you will be eligible to receive a free D.A.R.C. hat if you have
not previously received one.  This offer is good as long as the supply
lasts.  Membership renewals will be sent out to all the present members
in late December that do not renew their membership during the meeting.

At this meeting we will have election of officers for 2003 and will also
accept additional nominations from the floor.  The present nominations
are existing officers: President - Carol Newberry (N3NKK),  Vice
President - Phil Hastings (N3PXT),  Secretary - John Willmuth (NQ4Q), and
Treasurer - Jim Hill (N3TKM).  We also need nominations for the office of
Chairman of the board which was vacated by Carl Balster (WB2MJR).  Please
do not nominate anyone who cannot attend the monthly meetings (usually
4th Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM in Fruitland).

Our present membership for 2002 is 60 members.  Please renew your
membership to help keep the 146.22/82 repeater on the air. 

The Delmarva Amateur Radio Enhancement Net on the 22/82 repeater is still
alive and well on Monday nights at 9 PM.  Carol (N3NKK) has maintained
net control with this weekly tradition and all check ins are welcomed. 
The 156.7 Hz PL tone is removed during the net to allow easy access for
those without PL tone capability.
