Tom, N8ZM, Now that most of you own nanoVNA's, it might be a good time to talk about how they work, what they can do, and what they can tell you.
This a repeat with updates from a 2020 TNG. Still a good refresher.
Even though mask are not required feel free to wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. There will be some wearing mask so you will not be the only one.
The pop cooler has some pop and water.

DARA ELECTIONS & Membership Meeting - JUNE 3
DARA Board Elections and Presentations on VOA and YOTA
Our next DARA General Membership Meeting will take place Friday, June 3, 2022, at 7:00pm at the Greene County Expo Center in the Mercantile Building. The meeting will be in-person and Zoom for those unable to attend. Zoom instructions attached at the end of this announcement.
We will be having our election of DARA Board of Trustees at this meeting. Please bring your membership card and read elsewhere in this issue of the RF Carrier for more information on the nominees and the election process. Please turn out to vote, a few new faces are running for positions on the DARA Board.
We will have two knowledgeable and excellent speakers at this meeting. Both are from southwest Ohio and will be here in-person. Our first speaker is Jocelyn Brault KD8VRX speaking on the Youth on the Air (YOTA) event coming up this June. Leland Hite K8CLI will be speaking about the local Voice of America Museum in West Chester, Ohio.
“Jocelyn was licensed in 2013, him and his son (Chris KD8YVJ) took part in the Dave Kalter Memorial Youth DX Adventure to Costa Rica in 2017. Jocelyn is the past president of the VOA Radio club (WC8VOA) and has been involved with the club since he was licensed. He organized several outreach events for youth including PiDay, iSPACE Day, Jamboree on the air (JOTA) and his now working with Youth on the Air (YOTA) to keep youth interested in radio.”
“Lee is originally from Wauseon Ohio (West of Toledo) and lived at various locations around the US. He has been a ham since age 12, holds a BSEE and worked for General Radio Co. in Boston for 27 years. Retired at age 50 and began volunteering. He never worked for the VOA but was on site as a vendor. Bethany station was a customer for RF impedance bridges, etc. He has background in RF design, precision measurements, PC board testing and acoustics. Lee has been involved with the museum for the past eight years as a curator, board member and docent. He is happy to provide technical tours for ham clubs and broadcast engineers.”
