Things this week:

TNG –  Raspberry Pi based HF GO BOX & Hamvention cleanup

This week there will not be a ZOOM meeting.

we will clean up for Hamvention

Dave, KE8DOC, will be presenting his Raspberry Pi based HF GO BOX to the Thursday Night Group. This system uses a Raspberry Pi 4 with 4 gig of RAM to control the radio, generate and decode HF digital modes and run log software. This is a practical demonstration of the Build-a-Pi menu system that the Single Board Computer SIG installed at the last meeting.

The go box consists of a 2U portable 19 inch rack box with the radio and Raspberry Pi mounted on rack shelves. I am using a Yaesu FT-857D HF transceiver, Signalink USB, CAT interface, power supply, GPS recever and the Raspberry Pi .  The Raspberry Pi is loaded with WSJT-X, GridTracker, JS8Call, FLdigie, FLrig and HAMers loging system.  we will start cleaning up for Hamvention.

Even though mask are not required feel free to wear a mask if you feel more comfortable.  There will be some wearing mask so you will not be the only one.

The pop cooler has some pop and water.

PLEASE if you are having any of the COVID symptoms DO NOT come to the clubhouse.
