TNG – MAY 12th - Raspberry Pi based HF GO BOX
On MAY 12th, Dave, KE8DOC, will be presenting his Raspberry Pi based HF GO BOX to the Thursday Night Group. This system uses a Raspberry Pi 4 with 4 gig of RAM to control the radio, generate and decode HF digital modes and run log software. This is a practical demonstration of the Build-a-Pi menu system that the Single Board Computer SIG installed at the last meeting.
The go box consists of a 2U portable 19 inch rack box with the radio and Raspberry Pi mounted on rack shelves. I am using a Yaesu FT-857D HF transceiver, Signalink USB, CAT interface, power supply, GPS recever and the Raspberry Pi . The Raspberry Pi is loaded with WSJT-X, GridTracker, JS8Call, FLdigie, FLrig and HAMers loging system.
See you on MAY 12th
