DARA Is Working With DMA To Offer A New Special Interest Group

The Dayton Microcomputer Association, Inc., (DMA) and The Dayton Amateur Radio Association, Inc., (DARA) have jointly formed a new Special Interest Group (SIG). The first meeting of the Single Board Computer SIG will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the DARA Club House

The Single Board Computer SIG will address equipment such as Raspberry Pi and Arduino devices (the latter can be used for single use purposes, such as TV remotes). Single board computers can also be used as a tool for assisting with Ham Radio communications. Dave Schwab, KE8DOC, both a DMA and DARA member, will be the SIG’s facilitator. An interest in the creation of this SIG was generated after his successful presentation at DARA’s Thursday Night Group and the DMA’s general meeting.
