Greetings,

I just wanted to introduce myself as I just subscribed to the email list.

I moved to the area about one year ago and joined DARA at Hamvention a
couple of weeks ago.  I look forward to meeting more of you as I attend
various meetings and events.

My 8-land callsign was issued back in the mid-1980s when I was living in
Michigan (yeah, no worries, I'm not a fan of UofM either!) but have spent
the last 30+ years in PA (nope, no connection with PSU either even though I
lived in State College for 12 years).  Glad to be back in 8-land!

I don't have a station on the air from home yet but often do portable
operation (well, I haven't found time since I moved here to do so yet, but
typically do some).  For now I only have a 10m dipole in my home office but
plan to put up a wire or two in the side yard eventually.  I've used the
indoor dipole to make a handful of contacts now and again since
mid-February when I constructed it.
