TNG – IoT Village hands on hardware hacking exercise

This week our computer security group will be providing a speaker.

Speaker will start about 7:30.

 

Deral Heiland, plans to speak on the IoT Village hands on hardware hacking exercise that was made available at Defcon IoT Village this year. He will be bringing 8 exercise platforms and 4 laptops, to assist his demonstration, 

 

Our computer security group is also hosting BSidesDayton, one of a community-driven network of information security conferences, BSides. Each conference is independent from each other and is generally put on by someone who is local to the event. This year, the conference will be held November 19th, 2022 at an e-sports gaming compound called Vyral in Kettering, Ohio (next to the Greene). We will be having four one hour presentations throughout the day and a little after party following the last presentation. The tickets are $18 this year and include breakfast, CityBBQ for lunch, and unlimited play time on any of the PC gaming computers from 4 pm to midnight. Even though mask are not required feel free to wear a mask if you feel more comfortable.  There will be some wearing mask so you will not be the only one.

 

The pop cooler has some pop and water.

The Single Board Computer SIG WILL NOT have a meeting on September 10th. September 10th is Ohio State Parks On the Air. I hope all the hams will have a chance to take part. The Huber Heights ARC will be at Sycamore State Park. You are welcome to join us or just stop by to see Ham Radio in action.
