Things this week:  

TNG - Building a FIREWALL using an old pc

Brian, N8UDQ, will be demonstrating the setup of hardware and software for a
simple open source firewall. He will install pfSense 2.4.5 on some old
hardware with 2 nics. Then demonstrate a few simple firewall rules, a simple
port forward and if there is time, setup OpenVPN to access your home network
on the go.

 

Upcoming DARA meetings

 

Feb - Jim Breakall WA3FET is a professor in Pennsylvania and is a well know
antenna designer. He designed one of the arrays used at Arecibo prior to the
collapse and contributed heavily to the technical aspects of the station He
and a few others have the "Magic Mountain" station in PA.

 

March - Homebrew via zoom.  There may be prizes.

 

April - Anthony Luscre K8ZT is a well know presenter and will be speaking on
Youth and Amateur Radio.

 

HAMFEST

 

NO Local Hamfest in the for seeable future.  Hamvention 2021 cancelled.
