I apologize for being so naive in programming this radio.
I was thinking that DV/D-Star programming could be done from the
controls on the radio.
Nope.
AFAICT, D-Star memories can be loaded from an .ICF file.
It is possible to only load the memories from an .ICF file and not
overwrite other radio settings.

Also, it seems, that updating memories can be accomplished via 'Icom
software'.
Let me guess, 'Icom software' is 'Windows only'.

'chirp' will not let me program a DV/D-Star memory.

It seems I need an .ICF file with the Hamilton repeater already in it or
Windows + Icom software + a repeater list.

Is it possible to create a new .ICF file with 'Icom software' and share?

Merry Christmas,
Chuck
