AUG 27 Meeting - Introduction to Hotspots

Presenters: John Westerkamp, W8LRJ, Lyle Steinhardt, KE0CZV & Brian Garber,
WB8AM

Hotspots are becoming increasingly popular in amateur radio along with the
rise of digital radios. Hotspots allow hams to communicate with other
stations when a repeater is not available, and to crossmode among the
various digital modes including D-Star, DMR, System Fusion, P25, and NXDN.
This presentation will focus on digital hotspots and how to configure them
for various applications. Hotspots covered include the JumboSpot MMDVM,
ZUMspot, and OpenSpot3.
