1.   GPS: Beyond the Basics

 

GPS: Beyond the Basics by John Ackermann, N8UR

There is a lot more capability in the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite
System) than what is provided by typical consumer GPS units. It's possible
to locate with precision of a few millimeters. In the last year, GNSS
modules capable of results like this have become available for less than
$200.

 

This presentation explains how the GNSS system works to provide these
capabilities, and shows some of the results obtainable.

 

2. DARA General Membership meeting CANCELLED

 

Due to the Novel Coronavirus CLOVID19 and the policy on large gatherings set
by the governor and Public Health, the Kettering Rec Center has cancelled
our Dara Membership Meeting scheduled for this coming Friday May 1. Please
follow the guidelines of social distancing, masking and other rules and stay
safe and healthy. This is a serious health issue but we will all survive and
hopefully see each other soon.
