1.       Power Supply Tester - DEMO

Tim ,N8NQH, is bringing in his PS tester/load box; good up to 30 amps.  

He will discuss how he made it.

 

2.       TAPR Conference report

Tom ,N8ZM, will talk about the 37th Annual ARRL and TAPR Digital
Communications Conference this past weekend.

 

3.       Antenna Analyzer - update

Rubin and Phil will tell us the latest on this project.

4.       NEW ** License Exam Questions of the week

One question is drawn from each of the three question pools. Steve, AE8AT,
is providing these questions.  Thanks Steve

We received a question regarding the strange mix of letters and numbers that
begin each question.  Every exam question has a unique combination of
letter-number-letter-number.  The first letter is a T, G, or E to identify
the question pool: Technician, General, or Extra.  Next is a single number
representing the category, for example, category zero is safety in all three
exam pools.  The first letter-number pair is called the "sub-element".   The
second letter is a "group" containing related questions.  Example,
subelement G8 is Signals and Emissions, with group C of that sub-element
being Digital Emission Modes.  The questions are numbered sequentially:
G8C01, G8C02, and so forth always with a 2-digit number at the end.  The
question identity is included in case of a typo or some "help" from
autocorrect obscures either the question or the answer.  

 

T1A05 What is proof of possession of an FCC-issued operator/primary license
grant?

A. A printed operator/primary station license issued by the FCC must be
displayed at the transmitter site

B. The control operator must have an operator/primary station license in his
or her possession when in control of a transmitter

C. The control operator's operator/primary station license must appear in
the FCC ULS consolidated licensee database

D. All of these choices are correct

 

G1D07 Volunteer Examiners are accredited by what organization?

A. The Federal Communications Commission

B. The Universal Licensing System

C. A Volunteer Examiner Coordinator
