2 presentations - reflow oven & Antenna Analyzer

The Thursday Night Group will meet

Thursday, June 7 at 7:00 PM at the DARA Clubhouse.

Things this week:  

a.      Mike Suhar, W8RKO, will be giving 2 talks this week starting about
7:30.

                                                              i.
"Antenna analyzers are the latest in test equipment for the ham radio
experimenter.  In this presentation we will discuss the technology that
makes them possible. We will cover how they work, but more importantly, we
will show examples of practical usage of the device.  We will also cover pit
falls to be careful of when using them."   

                                                            ii.      the
reflow oven: "Assembling surface mount PC boards can be a challenge when you
have many components to solder.  A reflow oven is the way to do this
quickly.  You can roll your own or build one of the available kits on the
market.  In this presentation we will examine one of the kits and what it
took to get it operational."

b.      Antenna Analyzer - A sample will be built and tested soon.

c.       The design for the 6 - 2- 440 add-on board is being reviewed.
