The Thursday Night Group will meet 

Thursday, February 15 at 7:00 PM at the DARA Clubhouse.

Special notice:

TNG HF-UHF Antenna Analyzer Build project!

Rubin has been hard at work and has the problem solved. He will give us an
update.  We estimate the cost to be $150 or less.  To be part of this build
you must pre-pay $150 to George, WD8NHI, no later than the MAR 8th TNG
meeting.  Parts will be ordered and we anticipate building will start later
in March or early April.

The original HF version was published in the 2017 November QST issue.

Do to almost everyone wanting to do the UHF version we will not be doing the
HF version.  The Huber Heights club might still have a few HF kits
available.  George

Lots of things this week:  

1.  Steve Reed KB8STB will show us what he has learned about Lithium Ion
batteries.  He will present information about recovering / reusing used
cells as well as topics like measuring capacity and proper charging
techniques.  It is his intent to provide you will all you need to know to
take on projects like repairing existing battery packs, creating custom
packs, or retrofitting LI-ion cells into devices that didn't have them
before. 

2. Buzz, N6FXB, might give update on his vertically polarized rhombic
antenna.

3.  The  "We are DARA" handout is being updated.  Come give your input on
the TNG page.
