All,

 

If you have data on either the classroom computer or the general use computer in the old radio room please remove it before next Tuesday 3/15.  New computers have been placed in service in those areas and next week upon my return from Wisconsin I will be pulling the old computers and turning them over to the Thursday night group to be rebuilt as Linux machines for some of the projects they build.

 

As for the new computers, if there is software that is needed please let me know and we will make arrangements if it is appropriate.  Please make use of a thumb drive or other storage device for personal data.  Also, please watch what links you click on the internet and in email.  The old general use machine has been infected with viruses multiple times and some of which were so deeply embedded that removal would have required a whole lot more work than we were willing to do.  Under the new OS, it is a lot easier for me.  The user profile will just get wiped and a new user profile will be started if the viruses occur again.

 

If you have any questions in regards to these computers please let me know.
