We will be taking a tour at Channel 16 Tower.

Note, the tour will start at 6:30 p.m.

 

Fred Stone - W8LLY, George MacKnight (senior maintenance engineer at channel 16) and Joe Brassard - KA8C will be giving the tour.

 

Parking: There is some space for parking in front of the transmitter building.  Others should park in the grass along the east side of the driveway on the Guthrie Road side of the building.

 

Directions: Probably the easiest way to get there is to take US-35 West to South Gettysburg exit and then south on South Gettysburg to Guthrie Road (first road to left past Ch-45 building/tower).

 

From the South, take SR-741 (Springboro Pike) to Main Street (in Moraine).  Follow Main Street across Great Miami River Bridge, through Miami Shores past Moraine Splash and up the hill which becomes South Gettysburg.  Continue north on South Gettysburg past WPTD old (short) tower, past “pay lake,” past Frytown Road and right at next intersection which will be Guthrie Road.

 

From the U.D./old NCR area, go west on Stewart Street across Stewart Street Bridge.  Turn left on Edwin C Moses Blvd which becomes Nicholas Road past UD Arena (at I-75).  Continue west on Nicholas Road to South Gettysburg Ave.  South on South Gettysburg past Ch-45 to Guthrie Road and left on Guthrie Rd.
