Edward is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Tanton; his sons, Russell Tanton and Christopher Tanton; their spouses Amber Rhea and Abby Tanton; and his grandchildren, Fitz Tanton and James Tanton.

The family asks that-in lieu of gifts or flowers-donations be directed either to Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
