Boy that would be fun.  But I'm a long way from Florida.
However I'm wondering about that radio room clock. Do you think that clock is just for Merchant Marine or did the Navy use it as well ? I ask because I have one and wonder about it's history. Mine says Mackay Radio on the clock face and has the red wedges for the silent period.

LSince George Cave and Don Berger passed away, the key of KKUI has been silent.

The Marine Radio Station, KKUI, operates on all the Marine CW frequencies.

There is an amateur radio club associated with the merchant ship,

W4AVM

If anyone knows of any qualified person who would like to volunteer to come on some Saturdays to work KPH and pass traffic to San Francisco Radio, the many who listen to KPH on Saturday would greatly appreciate it.

You can contact the amateur radio club W4AVM who probably can put you in touch with those who could arrange for you to guest operate KKUI.

Their email is board@w4avm.org

The ship is located at:

705 Channelside Dr, Tampa, FL 33602

The applicant would need an FCC Telegraph license to operate the station on marine frequencies.

It's a wonderful chance to get on 500 kHz again!
