Kurt,

Congratulations on completing this white paper. Having a game plan for reaching the speeds that are targeted in this one-year plan will potentially change how CW is taught and learned in the future. This is a historical first providing a study guide to obtain QRQ for almost anyone that puts in the work.  This “white paper”  will be revolutionary if the guidelines for practice lead to a growing number of hams that can copy at 45 wpm. It has a solid foundation as this is based on practice and effort which are the essential elements in becoming a CW operator at any level. No gimmicks, just hard work and time. Time will tell about the success of this approach,  but we should all be grateful for Kurt’s dedication and the huge amount of work involved in putting this all together. Thank you and many bows Kurt.

All the best to those who are going to commit and go for it.

Jack, thank you for your work on QRQ buddies and Terry, I am in awe of you ex-military operators. You are the most skilled CW hams that I ever get to work. I am grateful for your contribution to this effort. Also, I do hope to find you on the air in the near future. I hope you don’t mind a drop-in to your Thursday class.

I'm pleased to announce our white paper titled — A Learning Approach to Achieve QRQ. This paper introduces a one-year plan for studying high-speed CW. In the report, we propose a method to increase your CW receiving skills from 30 wpm to 45 wpm. Please follow this link to read the paper on the Morse Code Ninja website —  https://morsecode.ninja/advice/#LearningApproachToQRQ . If you prefer, I have also attached a PDF copy for your review.

The structured approach to achieving QRQ is a starting point, open to refinement. With additional feedback and collective experience, our goal is to make QRQ accessible to as many people as possible.

I enjoyed working with my friends Terry Jackson (WBØJRH) and Jack Treloar (AAØIZ) on this project.

We wish you all the best on your Morse code journey!
