deliberating on this issue (ground), that's time wasted that you could be
operating, instead."
Working out technical issues, experimenting, building, improving, etc are an important part of the hobby for many hams. The goal is not simply "operating" and everything else just gets in the way.
Writing his article was taking precious time away from his operating, right? Kind of hard to take him seriously in this regard.
I get so weary of hams telling other hams the right way to ham.
