Years ago in an effort to retain my abilities to send with a semi-automatic key and paddles for electronic keyer use as well as the sideswiper which I was attempting to learn, I asked a LOT of questions from the best sideswiper operators of the day, like Bob Shrader, W6BNB, Ben Russell, N6SL, and many others.
I formulated a method of keying the sideswiper that would allow me to not get totally confused or at least any more than normal.
The result was this method: My Gopher site via the http to gopher gateway. https://gopher.floodgap.com/gopher/gw?=sdf.org+70+302f75736572732f646a72696e676a722f73696465737769706572
My Web Site in HTML (normal browser) http://qsl.net/n1ea/sideswiper.html
For those quirky enough to still have software that accesses gopher directly: gopher://sdf.org:70/0/users/djringjr/sideswiper
Anyway, it's left me able to send with all types of similar keys without having to "forget" too much.
Here are several of my old videos - watch the keys and not my fingernails - but still the quality of my voice and video are very poor, I was in terrible pain when I did them. Two on bugs, two on different types of sending - the USA one I'm just slapping the key

Just to show you I can send when I'm in less pain - a bit less and with trimmed fingernails to boot two demo videos.
