Today marks the 400th anniversary of the celebration of the religious Pilgrims who sailed from Plymouth, England to the New World and upon arriving at the tip of Cape Cod (Provincetown) realized it wasn't suitable for a settlement, sailed westward across Massachusetts Bay to the deserted Native American village called Patuxet, home to the Wampanoag Indian which had been decimated by a plague of disease and abandoned.
