Good news, Bill, excellent news by the way

I found the latest versions of all of Ray's programs!

His archive page in my http://tiny.cc/n1ea Morse Code archive has been updated!

https://archive.org/details/G4FONKochMorseTrainerInstall

It should be all there!  Everything!

More on G4FON

Ray was not charging for version 10, but his web page required you to give your call sign to get the download. It appears that that backend mechanism is NOT working anymore.

If anyone is lucky enough to still have the zip file in their download directory you should give it to David or this great work will not be available to any new users.

Now there MAYBE so hope....

I have most likely the only copy of 10.9.1 because I was Ray's tester for the last year or so.
There is good and bad news here.

Bad news I do not have the zip or the installer - very unfortunate.

Good news, is that I don't believe there were any directory changes after 10.7.29 or certainly in 10.8.1.
I am NOT a windose guru, but a quick look at the registry files and I did not see anything tied to a release number or anything that looked new. So if somebody is a windose/zip guru and you want to experiment, I can make available the latest exe and 2 uninstall files. Its possible, that if you have one of the two mentioned releases above, you might be able to manually slide in the new exe (after a backup of course). If that works a some zip install could be made (not all the bells and whistles of a real install with making a shortcut etc.).

I do NOT have a list of changes from 10.8.1 to 10.9.1, because Ray just gave me incrementals on the fly.

I can't try this experiment since I do not have an old version.

LMK if interested.

Note that prosigns in input must be in format like; ^bt NOT <bt>.

Also getting the send and echo feature working can require a bit of frustration with the levels in windoze set right. Ray the sidetone of his rig into headphones and then placed the headphones opened near the PC microphone enabling both him and the app to hear input. This a few other things were being worked on for a delivery when he passed.

The receive side features are great. There is a bug in what is displayed but it’s minor

For the send side, I would highly recommend DJ7HS’s Precision CW Fistcheck - it’s current version is much further along the Rays (less the echo feature) and an enhancement should be delivered soon.

His Tutor, for receiving is solid and very intuitive for learning and practice, but if you want the wide range of on air impairments (qsb, qrn, bad fist …) you will also want G4FON on your desktop.
