I have one of Phil Boyle’s PB213 straight keys, it’s the best straight key I have ever used. The workman ship is superb, and the action is fantastic.Luckily enough Phil only lives about 4 miles from me so when I picked mine up I was lucky enough to meet Phil himself.73‘Malc G4OAB

I had a Begali "Camelback" key, I thought the action was terrible, plodding, not responsive. I sold it. I also thought Begali's "Postal" key was difficult to use, I'm thankful i never bought one.
I recently bought a Begali "Sculpture Arrow", and I find it's a remarkable key with remarkable action exceeding my Marconi and Scandinavian keys. I heard exciting evaluations of this key from many people I respect including members of this email list including Bob Leichner, WO6W who loved this key.
Begali "Sculpture Arrow"
I stubbornly hold on to my belief that the PS-213 that Phil Boyle, GONVT restored is the best I've ever used, but honestly, the "Sculpture Arrow" could occupy that spot, it's so good.
This is Phil Boyle's replica of the PS-213.
Phil made this bespoke key for me. I had him make a base for the key covered with green baize fabric. It's very close to the original PS-213 in the way it feels. I think Piero Begali's "Sculpture Arrow" is just as good if not better than Phil Boyle's excellent replica of the original PS-213.
My genuine PS-213 is down in Belize as I sent it to the late Joe Pontek, K8JP, V31JP who wanted to take measurements of it. Supposedly, I'll get it back.
