[CW] An arm looking for a key.

Richard,
Interestingly enough it does fit a Bunnell frame.
I found 2 Bunnell frames that fit, one is a skeleton frame and the other
is a Triumph style frame. The Bunnell arm is longer by about 7/8".
I have a Minominee frame but it does not work on that one. The
contacts do not line up.
It also fits an old Iron frame, possibly Bunnell, like what is found on a
KOB.
However the angle of the arm is not right, it sits too low at the contact
spacing adjusting screw.
The knob screw is removable, it is just a stud. Ahe arm is brass.
Bunnell must have made keys with a brass arm and a steel trunnion prior to
the
steel lever key in 1881. I do not have any catalog info on his early keys
prior to that date.
I tried the arm in one of the 1881 keys with the bolted uprights and bolted
wire connectors,
but it does not fit that style. The contacts do not line up.
This does not mean the arm is Bunnell but it is usable on at least 2 of the
Bunnell model frames.
Because of the angle of the arm on these frames it would seem it would have
been in a frame
with taller uprights or a much lower anvil contact.
